15th Annual Bowling Tournament for a Good Cause

Tickets are on sale for the annual LVR Community Outreach Committee Bowling Tournament and charity fundraiser. The doors will open for registration at 8:30 am on Friday, April 1 at Strike Zone in the Sunset Station Casino, followed by the tournament which begins promptly at 9:00 am. The games will end at 12:00 pm to announce this year's winning team and award the individual and team trophies.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the event which has become an important part of LVR's charity fundraising efforts. A total of three games will be played with teams composed of five bowlers - single-player applicants will be matched with others to form a team of five. Tickets are on sale for $25 per player or $125 for a team and can be purchased by filling out the Registration form.

In addition, three different sponsorship packages are available for purchase ranging from $150 to $1,000. Silver Lane Sponsorships are $150 and include a rotating logo on all drop-down screens above the Bowling Lanes. The $200 Gold Lane Sponsorships include a rotating logo on all drop-down screens and a provided table for marketing purposes. One Bar/Drink Sponsorship option offers all of the above benefits in addition to a signature drink named after the company, which Fairway Mortgage has already purchased this year.

The money collected as registration fees and sponsorships will provide funds to be donated to a locally approved charity that the Community Outreach Committee has chosen. The tournament is open for anyone and all families, friends, and Association members are encouraged to participate. The grand prize is a one-year ownership of a trophy with a personalized nameplate.

Food and drinks are available for purchase at the event, as well as a 50/50 cash raffle. A total of $2,800 was raised at the raffle last year; the winner won half or $1,400 and admirably donated back the prize money to the chosen charity. The Bowling Tournament is one of the Community Outreach Committee's biggest fundraisers. In 2021, the committee raised a total of over $11,000 from this event.
