LVR Invites You to Support Our Triannual Blood Drive

The blood supply for about 900 hospitals nationwide recently dipped to its lowest level in a year, triggering a blood emergency. Nearly five million people need blood transfusions yearly, and one blood donation can help save up to three lives.

Vitalant is hosting a blood drive this week at LVR on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Classroom B. We still need 15 more donors. LVR members are invited to attend and help support Vitalant in its lifesaving mission.

In November of 2022 at our last blood drive, Vitalant had 23 donations, and we know we can have a better turnout this time. One unit can help up to three people, so please participate if you're eligible or know someone who might want to donate! Every donor also receives a free health check where blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol, and COVID-19 antibodies will be tested.
