Q: Does LVR offer online Continuing Education?
A: No, LVR does not offer online classes at this time. However, you can take online classes through The CE Shop at

Q: Is there is a dress code for attendees to all education classes?
A: Yes, Business Casual attire. Women should wear a dress, suit, skirt or pants with blouse/sweater. Pant suit or slacks with blouse/sweater, shoes. Walking shorts are acceptable. Men should wear a shirt and long pants, shoes or optional suit, sport coat or sweater. Unacceptable clothing includes tank tops, t-shirts, torn jeans, short shorts, any revealing apparel, flip-flops or similar apparel.
Q: Where can I take classes to renew my Real Estate License?
A: LVR offers a full schedule of Continuing Education each month, including evening and weekend classes. If you are unable to find classes to fit your schedule, you may want to contact the Real Estate Division at (702) 486-4033 for a list of other CE and Post class providers.
Q: How/Where do I go to renew my license?
A: Licenses are renewed at the Nevada Real Estate Division, located at 3300 West Sahara Ave. Las Vegas 89102. You can reach the Licensing Department at 702-486-4033. Specific requirements regarding your renewal can be found on the Division web site at
www.red.nv.gov (click on Real Estate, then Licensing, then Licensing Renewal).
Q: I lost my certificate–how do I get a duplicate?
A: Since LVR has gone Digital your certificate will remain on your profile for as long as you are an active member. If you need a certificate for a class you have taken through another provider, you need to call that provider for copies.
Q: Can you check to see how many CE credits I have?
A: If you call the Education Department, they will check your education history through their system. However, our Education Department only tracks the classes you have taken through LVR.
Q: What if I am not able to get all of my CE credits in time for my renewal?
A: You need to contact the Real Estate Licensing Department at the Division (702) 486-4033 to see if you are able to receive an extension to renew.
NAR Code of Ethics Requirement
Q: What is a NAR Code of Ethics class?
A: A NAR Code of Ethics class is a course the National Association of REALTORS® has made a requirement for each REALTOR®.
Q: How do I know if I have met the NAR Code of Ethics requirement?
A: We can check our records to see if you have taken one of the courses to meet the requirement. Please call or visit the Education Department to verify your education history.
Q: When does LVR offer a NAR Code of Ethics training course?
A: LVR offers NAR Code of Ethics training courses at least three (3) times each month. A current schedule of classes can be viewed on this page. Scroll up to the "Education Documents" section of this page and click on "Schedules". Then click the schedule you want.
Q: How many classes do I have to take to meet the requirement? How much are the classes?
A: You only need to attend one of the Ethics classes designated as a NAR Code of Ethics course. The classes are $20 and provide three (3) CE credit hours.
Q: Do I have to come in to take a class or can I take the NAR Code of Ethics class online?
A: An online NAR Code of Ethics course is available at
www.nar.realtor. This online class is for NO CE credit.
Q: How do I report that I have completed the NAR Code of Ethics training to NAR?
A: After completion of the test, a course completion will be emailed to you. Email
education@lvrealtors.org a copy of the completion note in order to update your file.

Q: How can I register for a class?
A: You can register for a class over the phone with a credit card or bring a check to the Association, or mail a check as long as there is enough time before the class.
Q: Can I register for a class and pay at the door?
A: You can register for a class as a walk-in day-of class. Walk-ins can pay by credit card, check or cash (exact change). Payment for class registration is due upon registration.
Q: Can I cancel out of a class and receive a refund?
A: You are able to cancel your class up to 48 hours in advance and receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, please contact the Education Department with the reason for not attending.
Q: How late can I be for a class and still be eligible for CE?
A: The Association abides by the Nevada Division of Real Estate’s rule that you must be in class for at least 90% of the time. If you miss any more than 10% of the class, we are not able to provide you with CE credit. At that time, you are welcome to sit in on the class for informational purposes ONLY – NO CE credit will be available.
Q: What happens if I’ve already taken this class or I choose not to stay for its entirety? Do I just lose my money and the credits?
A: If you have already taken the class, the amount you paid for the class will be refunded. You would be able to use the credit toward future classes. If you choose to leave no refund or credit will be issued. You will NOT be eligible for CE credit.
