Members of the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV), Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) and other local real estate organizations teamed up on April 22 to help the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth by delivering donations and volunteering to renovate residences that house local teens.

More than 40 volunteers from local real estate organizations participated in the effort, assembling furniture and renovating several of NPHY’s housing units.

In addition to CALV and LVR, local chapters of real estate organizations supporting this cause included the Nevada Appraisal Institute; BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association); Southern Nevada CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member); CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women); IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management); NAIOP Southern Nevada; Nevada State Apartment Association (NVSAA); and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®).

“It’s always rewarding to get together with your peers to support such a worthy cause,” said CALV President Natalie Allred, whose professional designations include being a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM).“ Homelessness is a big issue and a growing concern here in Southern Nevada. Sadly, young people are often the most affected, with many struggling to find a safe place to call home.”

CALV and its partners have been teaming up with NPHY to address this growing need. For months, CALV has been seeking, collecting and delivering donated items from NPHY’s Amazon Wish List to help with the beautification and renovation project.
