MATRIX™ Multifactor Authentication

Enhanced Security Coming to Your MLS Dashboard

To improve account security and protect member data, our MLS vendor will launch Multifactor Authentication (MFA) on the Single Sign-On (SSO) Dashboard starting May 27, 2025. This extra layer of security is being implemented to safeguard all users from potential account breaches and unauthorized access.

What is Multifactor Authentication?

MFA requires users to verify their identity using multiple factors before gaining access to the MLS. These factors include:

• Something you are: Your Username
• Something you know: Your Password
• Something you have: A temporary code sent to your email or mobile device
  

This is similar to the security protocols used by banks and e-commerce sites, and it significantly reduces the risk of compromised credentials.

Important: Verify Your Email Address

To ensure a smooth login experience, please make sure your email address is current in your Matrix member record. The temporary verification code will be sent to the email or phone number you have on file, so keeping this information updated is critical.

Optional: Use Passkey with Biometrics

For added convenience, we’re also offering support for Passkey authentication, which uses biometrics (like fingerprint or face recognition) to log you in without a code. This option provides the same level of security while streamlining the login process.

What to Expect

Starting May 27, you’ll be prompted to complete the MFA process the first time you log in to your MLS Dashboard. Once registered, your login experience will include the additional verification step. The system may occasionally re-prompt for authentication to keep your session secure.
