MATRIX™ September Updates
Maximize Efficiency with Matrix’s Responsive Dashboard
Release Date: September 01, 2024 at 6:16 PMExciting changes are on the horizon for all Matrix customers with the launch of the all-new home page dashboard on September 17, 2024. This update introduces a range of significant improvements designed to enhance usability and performance.
Key Features of the New Dashboard
Responsive Interface:
The new dashboard boasts a responsive design that automatically adjusts based on your screen width. Whether you’re using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, the dashboard panels will arrange themselves into multiple columns, with the number of columns determined by your screen size.
Customizable Layout:
You can easily personalize the dashboard’s layout by adding, removing, and reordering panels to suit your preferences. While the News & Alerts panel is always displayed in the first position, it will automatically hide when there are no new updates, freeing up screen space.
Enhanced My Listings Panel:
The My Listings panel now allows you to display up to eight items of your choice, which will remain visible even if their count is zero. This change helps prevent misuse of the My Listings feature and improves overall system performance. For your convenience, a complete list of all items is just one click away.
Modern Search Panel:
The Search panel has been updated with modern controls similar to those used in the New Search (responsive three-panel search). Search results are now displayed using the New Search layout, if available, ensuring a seamless experience.
Custom Panels:
If you’ve created custom panels that frame external web pages, be aware that some reconfiguration may be necessary to accommodate the new panel size changes.
Consistent and Intuitive Layout:
Dashboard widgets are now auto-adjusted in height to display content without scrollbars, maintaining a consistent top-to-bottom order for easy navigation. Widgets are arranged in a fixed, predictable order, ensuring that your dashboard remains intuitive and easy to navigate regardless of widget height.
Maximize Screen Space:
You can collapse widgets to create a cleaner and more efficient dashboard view, maximizing your screen space for the most important information.
Classic Mode Option
For those who prefer the familiar look, a new “Classic Mode” switch is available in the utility menu (under “Hello FirstName”). This option allows users to choose whether they want to experience the new, responsive interface or stick with the classic style they’ve been using for years.
Mark your calendars for September 17, 2024, and get ready to experience a more flexible, responsive, and user-friendly Matrix dashboard!
